Creative Craft Workshops in Essex & Suffolk
Come and spend a few hours creating, chatting and learning something new at one of my relaxed craft workshops in North Essex and Suffolk.
My workshops include beaded jewellery making, French beaded flowers, embroidery, Bargello, miniature beaded plants and other colourful craft projects, with new workshops and projects added throughout the year.
Most workshops are designed to be completely beginner friendly, so you don't need any previous experience. I'll take you through the project step by step and provide the materials and tools you need.
It's not about making something perfect.
It's about giving yourself permission to play, experiment and enjoy being creative.
Workshops take place at selected venues across North Essex and Suffolk, including the Colchester and Sudbury areas, with new dates and locations added throughout the year.

Hello, I'm Claire. My love affair with beads started as a child with my grandmother's wonderful tin filled with old jewellery, buttons and beads – and I've been fascinated by jewellery and making things ever since. I graduated from Central Saint Martins in London with a BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design and have spent more than 30 years working within the jewellery industry, designing jewellery for businesses and brands in the UK and internationally. Today, alongside my jewellery design work, I create my own range of craft kits and teach creative workshops across Essex and Suffolk. I've always believed there is something incredibly powerful about making things with your hands. Craft gives us an opportunity to slow down, focus on something completely different and enjoy that wonderful feeling of "I made that." And, of course, there are usually plenty of beads involved.

Private workshops can be tailored to suit your group, location and occasion, and are suitable for beginners.

Handmade Beaded Jewellery
Because sometimes you just need more colour
Alongside my craft kits and workshops, I also create a collection of colourful handmade beaded jewellery.
Using beautiful beads, crystals and semi-precious stones, I create necklaces, bracelets and earrings designed to bring a little colour and personality to your everyday jewellery.
Pieces can be worn individually or layered together to create your own look.
Jewellery Design
With more than 30 years' experience in the jewellery industry, I also work as a freelance jewellery designer, creating jewellery collections and concepts for brands and businesses in the UK and internationally.
My experience spans fine jewellery, fashion jewellery and commercial jewellery design, combining traditional hand drawing with digital design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
